It all started when...

Chris Bell is a highly respected music engineer, mixing engineer and producer based in Texas, with a career spanning over 32 years. Raised in the Lone Star State, Chris developed a love for music at a young age, which led him to pursue a career in the industry.

Chris began his career as an assistant engineer at a Dallas recording studio, where he quickly gained a reputation for his technical skill and creativity. He soon moved up the ranks and began working as a full-time engineer, producing and mixing music for a wide variety of artists and genres.

Throughout his career, Chris has worked with a number of notable musicians from around the globe, including The Eagles, Erykah Badu, Don Henley, Luther Dickinson, Jim Lauderdale, The Polyphonic Spree, Peter Gabriel, Death in Vegas, Earth Wind and Fire, Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland,  Neville/Jacobs featuring Ivan Neville and Cris Jacobs, as well as sessions with U2, Dave Mathews and Jakob Dylan. He is known for his ability to bring out the best in his clients' music, and for his dedication to achieving the highest quality sound possible.

Recently, Chris was featured on Apple Music, which showcased some of his best work. The feature highlighted his unique approach to mixing and production, which has helped him create some of the most memorable and impactful songs in recent years.

In addition to his work as an engineer, Chris has also mixed music in Dolby Atmos, a revolutionary surround sound technology that creates a more immersive listening experience. Chris's expertise in Dolby Atmos has helped him to create powerful, dynamic mixes that transport listeners into the heart of the music.

Chris also has a mobile recording setup that features 32 channels of Rupert Neve Designs RMP-D8 preamps, which he uses to capture high-quality recordings on location. This setup allows him to record in a wide variety of environments, from small home studios to large concert halls, while still maintaining the same level of quality and attention to detail as he would in his main studio.

An active member of The Recording Academy, the organization responsible for the annual Grammy Awards, for over 20 years. He has served on various committees including the P&E Wing and has been involved in the organization's initiatives to promote and recognize excellence in music.

Today, Chris continues to work out of his studio in Wimberley, Texas, surrounding studios in Austin, Texas and the rest of the world,, where he is highly sought after by musicians and producers alike. He is known for his warm personality and his ability to make his clients feel at ease in the studio, which has helped him build long-lasting relationships with many of his clients.
